本书为国家社科基金一般项目“中国当代杂文编年史”阶段性成果。本书采用编年史的方法、体例，研究、梳理1978-1982年间中国杂文创作、传播、接受的历史及其经验、教训，主要内容包括：一、重要政治、思想、文化政策；二、对杂文发展有显著影响的社会思潮、思想运动、文化生活；三、有代表性的杂文观念、杂文理论论争、建设；四、杂文样式、杂文艺术的发展；五、杂文作家交往（社团、流派活动等）；六、重要杂文作家生平事迹；七、重要杂文作品、研究成果的创作/写作、出版和评论；八、其他。试图重新回到第一手资料中去，通过对原始资料的发掘、整理、钩沉、辑佚，占有尽可能详尽、完备同时又尽可能准确、翔实的史料，在此基础上，通过对这些史料的甄别和选择、比照和罗列，构造一个“用事实说话”的文学史的逻辑和秩序。这种逻辑和秩序，不是靠观点来“粘合”史料，而是靠史实之间的联系建立起来的，作者的观点和评价，就隐含在这些史实及其所建立的关系之中。

This book is a phased achievement of the general project "Chronicle of Contemporary Chinese Essays" of the National Social Science Foundation. Using the method and style of chronicle, this book studies and sorts out the history of the creation, dissemination and reception of Chinese essays from 1978 to 1982, as well as its experience and lessons, the main contents include: 1. Important political, ideological and cultural policies; 2. Social trends, ideological movements, and cultural life that have a significant impact on the development of essays; 3. Representative essay concepts, essay theory debate, and construction; 4. The development of essay style and essay art; 5. Essay writers' contacts (clubs, genre activities, etc.); 6. The life deeds of important essay writers; 7. Creation/writing, publication and review of important essay works and research results; VIII. Miscellaneous. Trying to return to the first-hand materials, through the excavation, sorting, hooking, and compilation of the original materials, occupy the most detailed and complete historical materials as possible, and at the same time as accurate and detailed as possible, on this basis, through the identification and selection, comparison and listing of these historical materials, construct a logic and order of literary history that "speaks with facts". This logic and order is not "glued" to historical materials by opinions, but is established by the connection between historical facts, and the author's views and evaluations are implicit in these historical facts and the relationships they establish.（AI翻译）
