本书是我国第一部综合论述文化人类学调查与研究方法的专著。全书分三篇十八章，上篇是“田野调查方法”，分析田野调查的特点与功能、形成与发展、基本原则和类型及田野调查报告的撰写等。中篇是“研究方法”，阐述文化人类学的研究类型、选题与设计、理论与概念的构建、范式构建和各类研究方法。下篇是“专题研究”，有《中西学术研究之异同》、《人类学研究的中国化与国际化》、《关于人文社会科学学术创新的若干问题》等五篇专题论文。本书的主要目的是希望研究者能够创立自己的新理论、新范式、新方法、新概念和新观点，在如何创新方面作了较为系统的分析。本书具有较强的理论性和实用性，不仅适用于文化人类学专业，而且还可作为民俗学、历史学、社会学等学科的研究生和教师的参考。

This book is the first monograph in China that comprehensively discusses the investigation and research methods of cultural anthropology. The book is divided into three parts and eighteen chapters, the first part is "Fieldwork Methods", which analyzes the characteristics and functions of fieldwork, its formation and development, basic principles and types, and the writing of fieldwork reports. The middle part is "Research Methods", which explains the types of research in cultural anthropology, the selection of topics and design, the construction of theories and concepts, the construction of paradigms, and various research methods. The next part is "Special Studies", with five special papers, including "Similarities and Differences between Chinese and Western Academic Research", "Sinicization and Internationalization of Anthropological Research", and "Some Issues on Academic Innovation in Humanities and Social Sciences". The main purpose of this book is to hope that researchers can create their own new theories, new paradigms, new methods, new concepts and new perspectives, and make a more systematic analysis of how to innovate.
