20世纪80年代以来，环境政治（学）研究在中国逐渐展开并日益转向应用和建构中国环境政治学。本书基于环境政治学研究的最新成果，提出并剖析了两种不同类型的传统环境政治，从传统环境政治思想、传统环境政治的原则和运行机制、传统环境保护法规、传统环境政治的特点、意义和启示等方面展开了系统研究。传统环境政治是中华文明永续发展的政治智慧的结晶，蕴含着建设物质文明、精神文明、政治文明、社会文明、生态文明的生态政治智慧，是建构具有中国特色、中国气派、中国品味的环境政治学不可或缺的思想文化资源。
Since the 80s of the 20th century, the study of environmental politics has gradually developed in China and increasingly shifted to the application and construction of Chinese environmental politics. Based on the latest achievements in environmental politics, this book proposes and analyzes two different types of traditional environmental politics, and carries out systematic research from the aspects of traditional environmental political thought, the principles and operating mechanisms of traditional environmental politics, traditional environmental protection laws and regulations, and the characteristics, significance and enlightenment of traditional environmental politics. Traditional environmental politics is the crystallization of the political wisdom of the sustainable development of Chinese civilization, contains the ecological political wisdom of building material, spiritual, political, social and ecological civilizations, and is an indispensable ideological and cultural resource for the construction of environmental politics with Chinese characteristics, Chinese style and Chinese taste.（AI翻译）
