针对发展问题，我们尽力尝试着给出一些启发性解读。继“结构性减速”这一命题提出之后，该书着重探讨了发展过程中可能出现的增长非连续，以及服务业（消费）效率补偿的重要性。对于大多数发展中国家来说，工业化向现代城市化的演进和过渡，是一个充满不确定和风险的特殊时期，拉美国家教训以及东南亚新兴工业化国家所面临的后工业化结构性问题，都是这个重要判断的有力佐证。原因在于，城市化阶段的经济结构服务化，是本质上不同于工业化的生产函数。亦即，经济效率持续改进的动力和压力，在这个阶段都需要由服务业和消费承担，服务业连同消费的发展必须具有效率补偿的效应，否则就会导致停滞和长期调整的增长不连续。

We try to give some illuminating interpretations of development issues. Following on from the proposition of "structural deceleration", the book focuses on the growth discontinuities that may occur in the development process and the importance of compensating for the efficiency of the service sector (consumption). For most developing countries, the evolution and transition from industrialization to modern urbanization is a special period full of uncertainty and risks, and the lessons of Latin American countries and the post-industrialization structural problems faced by the newly industrialized countries in Southeast Asia are strong evidence of this important judgment. The reason is that the servitization of the economic structure in the urbanization stage is essentially different from the production function of industrialization. That is, the motivation and pressure for continuous improvement of economic efficiency need to be borne by the service industry and consumption at this stage, and the development of the service industry together with consumption must have the effect of efficiency compensation, otherwise it will lead to stagnation and long-term adjustment of growth discontinuity.（AI翻译）
