Mr. Wang Ning (1955- ) is not only a leading figure in the field of foreign literature and comparative literature in China, but also one of the most outstanding theorists, cultural scholars and cultural activists in the field of Chinese literature today. His academic achievements are not only reflected in the introduction, research and critical application of Western modern and contemporary literary theories, but also in his unremitting attention to Chinese literature and culture over the years and its promotion overseas.
