The Solgo family of the Gualja clan played a vital political and military role in the history of Manchuria and the Qing Dynasty, and was a typical Manchurian old aristocracy and military meritorious family. The book begins by exploring the background of the rise of the Solgo family, the evolution of the Gualja surname, the approximate location of the residence, and the lineage of the family. Secondly, the development context of each branch of the Solgo family is sorted out, and the five major branches of Fei Yingdong, Weiqi, Yindahuqi, Wuerhan and Langge are selected from the Solgo family, and the typical figures of each branch and period are selected to discuss with the era, so as to see the interaction and social relationship between the entire family, and especially highlight the family's military and political actions and influence. Third, it highlights the far-reaching influence of the Eight Flags system on the family, and preliminarily counts the number of clansmen, official positions held and knighthood inheritance recorded in the family. Fourth, it outlines the marriage network of the Solgo family, and it can be seen that in the early Qing Dynasty (including the post-Jin period), those who had marriage dealings with it, except for the Aisin Gioro family, were all Eight Banner aristocrats with equal status, reflecting the principle of marriage between the Eight Banner nobles and was an obvious political marriage.
