《明代监察法研究》比较系统地考察了明代统治者的监察立法思想、监察机构的设置、监察法律体系、法定的监察形式，重点研究了监察法中关于对皇帝进行监督、对中央机关和地方政权机关实施监察、在监察系统内部开展监察以及管理监察官员等内容，在此基础上，总结了明代监察法的特点、实施情况及历史价值，指出明代监察法与明代绝对君主专制制度相适应，本质上是为了维护绝对君主专制统治，同时对于澄清吏治、维护国家大一统的局面、促进安民养民政策的落实起到了积极作用，其优劣长短对于我们认识监察法治的发展规律具有重要的启发意义。
