The book systematically sorts out the progress and achievements of economic research over the past 60 years since the founding of New China, showing the miracle of New China's economic development and the prosperity of economic research. The study of economics in New China can be roughly divided into two stages: before and after the reform and opening up. Before the reform and opening up, the mainstream position in the field of economics was traditional socialist economic theory. At the same time, there are also some viewpoints that challenge the traditional socialist economic theory, such as the relationship between planning and the market, the role of the law of value, the separation of ownership and management rights, the principle of material interests, and the production price.
