This book is the fourth volume of the 6-volume History of Marxist Historiography, and the main content is the Marxist historiography of New China. The author explains the tortuous development path of New China historiography from the aspects of the establishment of the dominant position of Marxist historiography, the criticism of bourgeois historiography, the "five golden flowers": the fruitful results of Marxist historiography, the development of Marxist historiography, the destruction of Marxist historiography by the "Cultural Revolution", the rectification of chaos and the great ideological emancipation of historiography.
