This book is the final result of the key project of the Qilu Cultural Research Center of Shandong Normal University Key Research Base of the Ministry of Education, "Marine Development of the Qi People in the Qin and Han Periods", and the phased result of the key project of the National Social Science Foundation "Marine Exploration and Early Oceanographic Research in the Qin and Han Periods", and is the first academic monograph to conduct serious historical investigation on this academic theme. The author pays attention to the combination of documentary data and archaeological data, comprehensively and in detail explains the achievements of the Qi people in marine exploration and marine development in the Qin and Han dynasties, and analyzes them from the aspects of economic history, cultural history and social life history.
