这是国内第一部专门研究当代文学史料的论著。全书分上下两编。上编“当代文学史料的存在与叙述”，主要探讨公共性、私人性、民间与地下、期刊社团与流派、通俗文学、台港澳文学、书话与口述文学、版本与选本等有关文学史料，呈现当代文学史料存在的丰富性与层次性；下编“当代文学史料相关专题探讨”，着重从史料与历史、政治、科技、文化、文学史的关系，以及文代会报告、潜在写作和现代文学馆馆藏史料等比较特殊的角度，对之作专题分析。它们各自独立而又相辅相成，在全面还原和系统梳理当代文学史料的基础上，以鲜明的问题意识对之展开进一步的学理阐析，显示出著者关于构建“中国当代文学史料学”的学术构想。

This is the first treatise in China that specializes in the study of contemporary literary historical materials. The book is divided into two parts.
