From the perspective of the scientific outlook on development, this book conducts a multi-dimensional investigation on the connotation, standards and new mechanisms of coordinated regional development, the trend and influencing factors of China's coordinated regional development and gap change, theoretically expounds the new concept of coordinated regional development, constructs a comprehensive index and discriminant criteria for coordinated regional development, reveals the mechanism of opening up to the outside world affecting regional differences, the impact of institutional changes on the convergence of regional growth, the realization mechanism of specialization to promote growth, and the formation mechanism of mismatch between population and industrial distribution.
