This book is co-authored by Professor Ouyang Fen of Jiangxi Normal University and Associate Professor Ni Sanhao of Anhui Normal University. The book divides the history of language education into four stages: ancient language education, modern language education, contemporary language education and language education in the new century, systematically studies the issues of "development of language education thinking", "development of language curriculum" and "development of language teaching materials", discusses in detail the topics of "development of literacy and writing teaching", "development of oral communication teaching", "development of reading teaching" and "development of writing teaching", and objectively introduces "famous scholars of language education" and "monographs on language education".
