第一次世界大战影响了东亚的国际政治格局。本书通过考察“一战”爆发后日本、美国在华展开竞争的历史背景，以及美国对华发挥文化影响的途径、日美之争对中国民族运动的影响、日本的因应等，试图从“一战”对东亚国际政治格局的影响这一视角，为日本在“一战”后调整对华政策，出台对华文化事业做出客观的解释，以期深化对近代中日关系以及“一战”对东亚影响的理解。

World War I affected the international political landscape in East Asia. By examining the historical background of the competition between Japan and the United States in China after the outbreak of World War I, as well as the ways in which the United States exerts cultural influence on China, the impact of the Japan-US dispute on China's national movement, and Japan's response, this book attempts to make an objective explanation for Japan's adjustment of its China policy after World War I and the introduction of cultural undertakings in China from the perspective of the impact of World War I on the international political pattern of East Asia, in order to deepen the understanding of modern Sino-Japanese relations and the impact of World War I on East Asia.（AI翻译）
