本书系统研究了生态学马克思主义，指出生态学马克思主义的产生是一个合历史与合逻辑相统一的过程，生态学马克思主义的产生代表着马克思主义发展的新阶段。本书将生态学马克思主义的生态社会主义观概括为五大特征，即以“物质变换”为基础理论，以“劳动解放”为根本方法，以“政治民主”为内在要求，以“生态伦理”为基本保障，以“稳态经济”为总体面貌，谋求对资本主义的全面改变，实现人与自然的共同发展。本书运用生态学马克思主义的立场和方法分析中国生态文明建设，提出建设中国特色生态社会主义的六大基本措施：一是通过解决人与人之间的矛盾去解决人与自然的冲突；二是进一步完善社会主义市场经济；三是把生态文明建设与革新人的存在方式相结合；四是促进科技的民主管理；五是大力发展循环经济；六是构建社会主义生态伦理。
This book systematically studies ecological Marxism, pointing out that the emergence of ecological Marxism is a process that unifies history and logic, and the emergence of ecological Marxism represents a new stage in the development of Marxism. This book summarizes the ecological Marxist concept of ecosocialism into five characteristics, namely, taking "material transformation" as the basic theory, "labor emancipation" as the fundamental method, "political democracy" as the inherent requirement, "ecological ethics" as the basic guarantee, and "steady-state economy" as the overall appearance, seeking a comprehensive change in capitalism and realizing the common development of man and nature.
