文学关注“人”，特别要表现人的“三性”，即：“兽性”“人性”与“神性”。设置“神性”的标准，不是为了达到“神性”，而是为了获得“人性”，不至于处身“兽性”。从这个意义上说，文学表现“人性”，总是不能离开“神性”的立场；文学是“人学”，总是要有“神学”的参照。这是文学的魅力。本书认为，相对于“启蒙”“革命”“批判”“生存”等现实主义要义，当代中国文学的力量也源自神学精神层面的“博爱”，“博爱现实主义”也就成为现实主义文学形态的一种界定。
Literature pays attention to "man", especially to express the "three natures" of man, namely: "bestial nature", "human nature" and "divine nature". The standard of "divinity" is not to achieve "divinity", but to obtain "human nature" and not to be in "animal nature".
