自2008年国际金融危机爆发以来，中国企业的对外直接投资迅速增长，然而各种投资受挫甚至失败的案例也频繁发生。全面总结中国企业海外投资的经验教训，研究如何更好地保护中国企业的海外投资利益，已成为一个迫切的课题。本书分为上、中、下三篇：上篇主要分析海外利益保护的相关理论，中篇着重分析中国海外投资面临的各种风险，下篇则是中国社会科学院世界经济与政治研究所国际投资研究室团队在2016年和2017年进行实地调研的直接成果。本书作者提出了保护中国海外直接投资利益的具体建议。

Since the outbreak of the international financial crisis in 2008, Chinese enterprises' outward direct investment has grown rapidly, but various cases of investment setbacks and even failures have also occurred frequently. It has become an urgent task to comprehensively sum up the lessons learned from Chinese enterprises' overseas investment and study how to better protect the overseas investment interests of Chinese enterprises. The book is divided into three parts: the first part mainly analyzes the relevant theories of overseas interest protection, the middle part focuses on the various risks faced by China's overseas investment, and the second part is the direct result of the field research conducted by the team of the International Investment Research Office of the Institute of World Economics and Politics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2016 and 2017.
