现代汉语存在句是汉语语法研究中重要的课题，一直受到语法学界的关注。我国第一部系统研究汉语语法的著作《马氏文通》就有这方面的论述；20世纪40年代，吕叔湘的《中国文法要略》明确提出了“存在句”的名称，并对此作了分析研究；80年代以后，存在句的研究得到了深化，出现了不少专题研究的论著，对现代汉语存在句的句法特点作了较细致的描写和分析，并运用新的理论开始从语义角度去研究存在句，取得了很大的成绩。
