在20世纪90年代后，中国逐渐流行西方发展经济学，并受到其重要影响。其实，中国人早就对经济发展理论在诸多方面作出了迥然不同于西方而且优于西方的重大贡献。本书首先基于中国经验总结出一个符合辩证唯物主义的发展的哲学定义：科学目的的达到。在此基础上，本书又紧密联系中国实际，系统总结了新中国在工业化、农业发展、科技发展、平等与增长关系、政府规模、对外经济关系和基本经济制度七大方面的发展经验。它们联合起来构成了统分结合、有机相联、浑然一体的经济发展理念。这些发展理念也构成广大发展中国家可以普遍借鉴的理论成果。本书既是武汉大学学者推进发展经济学研究的一项成果，也是构建具有中国特色、中国气派和中国风格的经济学理论的一种努力。

After the 90s of the 20th century, Western development economics gradually became popular in China and was influenced by it. In fact, Chinese has long made a significant contribution to the theory of economic development in many respects that is very different from and superior to that of the West. Based on Chinese experience, this book first summarizes a philosophical definition in line with the development of dialectical materialism: the achievement of scientific goals. On this basis, this book is closely linked to China's actual conditions, and systematically summarizes the development experience of New China in seven major aspects: industrialization, agricultural development, scientific and technological development, equality and growth relations, government scale, foreign economic relations and basic economic system. Together, they form an economic development concept that combines unification and division, organically connects and integrates harmoniously. These development concepts also constitute theoretical achievements that can be universally used by developing countries. This book is not only an achievement of Wuhan University scholars to promote development economics research, but also an effort to construct an economic theory with Chinese characteristics, Chinese style and Chinese style.（AI翻译）
