本书从多民族文学史观出发，立足文学人类学理论和方法，通过对四川省四市州主体民族文学的发展状貌的描述、归纳、比较与分析，展现四川省多民族文学的发展过程、状态与水平。在呈现四川省多民族文学发展状貌与特点的同时，为当代中国多民族文学发展作镜像观照。

本书既是文学的人类学描述，也是文学本体的考察。作者由外而内，由文学现场到文学作品，展示四川省多民族文学的特点、成就及其存在的问题，对文学和政治、区域、民族身份的关系作了思考，对多民族文学的发展未来也作了思考。

Starting from the historical perspective of multi-ethnic literature, based on literary anthropological theories and methods, this book shows the development process, status and level of multi-ethnic literature in Sichuan Province through the description, induction, comparison and analysis of the development of the main ethnic literature of the four cities and prefectures of Sichuan Province. While presenting the development of multi-ethnic literature in Sichuan Province, it also provides a mirror view of the development of contemporary Chinese multi-ethnic literature. This book is both an anthropological description of literature and an investigation of its ontology.
