并列现象是一种重要的语言现象，并列结构是汉英语言中最重要的句法语义结构之一。本书将运用相关的语言学理论，对汉英并列结构的概念、并列结构的分类、并列项的排序、并列结构的语法标记、并列结构的生成等进行较为全面、系统的考察和研究，力求找出汉英并列结构异同，最后从应用的角度来探讨汉英并列结构的学习策略与互译策略。
