本书以“中国当代小说与佛教文化的关系”为核心，旨在将1949年以来的中国小说文本置于与佛教文化关系的发展脉络中，考察佛教故事原型、基本观念、话语表达方式对故事本体的塑形及小说精神内涵的生发；对中国当代小说叙事体例、时间及空间结构的创设意义；对特定意象、意境及语言表达方式的生成与开掘等。通过将中国当代小说与佛教文化的关系放在历时性和共时性的维度中梳理，突破了前人指证性的研究和作家作品个案研究，深化和拓展了这一尚未充分展开的研究维度。不仅探索了作为中国传统文化一部分的佛教文化对中国当代小说美学范式的开辟，也进一步思考了有关神圣与世俗、文学的终极性关怀等人类学命题以及中国文学在形而上层面上与世界对话的可能性。

With "The Relationship between Contemporary Chinese Fiction and Buddhist Culture" as the core, this book aims to place the Chinese novel texts since 1949 in the context of the development of the relationship with Buddhist culture, and investigate the shaping of the story ontology, as well as the spiritual connotation of the novel by the archetype, basic concepts, and discourse expressions of Buddhist stories. the significance of the creation of narrative style, time and space structure of contemporary Chinese novels; The generation and excavation of specific images, artistic conceptions and language expressions. By sorting out the relationship between contemporary Chinese novels and Buddhist culture in the dimension of diachronic and synchronic nature, this paper breaks through the evidence-based research of predecessors and the case study of writers' works, and deepens and expands this research dimension that has not yet been fully developed. It not only explores the opening up of the aesthetic paradigm of Chinese contemporary novels by Buddhist culture as part of traditional Chinese culture, but also further considers anthropological propositions such as the sacred and the secular, the ultimate concern of literature, and the possibility of dialogue between Chinese literature and the world on a metaphysical level.（AI翻译）
