本书以狭义丝绸之路经济带空间区位为依托，以经济带、产业结构调整、产业空间布局等相关理论为基础，分析丝绸之路经济带三区段（中亚段、中国西北段和中国东部段）的产业发展现状和关联情况，以经济带局部与整体协同发展为目标，从中国西北段的产业结构及发展特点出发，从经济带、国家和节点城市三个层面提出与整个经济带协同发展的产业结构调整方向和产业布局思路及对策。
