After more than 40 years of development, China's outward direct investment (ODI) has entered a new stage. In China, the regulatory policies for ODI have gone through the development stages of "policy restrictions", "comprehensive relaxation", and then "encouraging development + negative list". There are also growing doubts about whether China's ODI will lead to the hollowing out of domestic industries and capital flight.
