作者长期从事清史、满族史研究，一向重视文献研究与田野调查的结合。2001—2019年二十年间，从事清朝史迹调查80余次。本书所收调查报告15篇，即其中第一批成果。内容包括各地八旗驻防遗迹、当地满族今昔、“三藩”史迹、边疆民族文化，以及战场、关隘、衙署、会馆、庙宇、古镇、驿站的考察。报告注意搜集碑刻、史志、家谱、照片和口述资料等信息，重视记录被采访者的历史记忆、有关民族认同和民族关系的表述。旨在对相关研究有所推进的同时，为了解清代历史、民族、地域、文化提供一个新的窗口。

The author has long been engaged in the research of Qing history and Manchu history, and has always attached importance to the combination of literature research and fieldwork. In the 20 years from 2001 to 2019, he was engaged in more than 80 surveys of historical sites of the Qing Dynasty. The first of the 15 survey reports included in this book are the first results. The content includes the relics of the Eight Flags garrison, the local Manchu people in the past and present, the historical sites of the "San Francisco", the ethnic culture of the frontiers, as well as the investigation of battlefields, passes, government offices, guild halls, temples, ancient towns, and post stations. The report pays attention to collecting information such as inscriptions, historical records, genealogy, photographs and oral materials, and pays attention to recording the historical memories of interviewees and expressions of national identity and ethnic relations.
