本书在马克思主义理论指导下，以公民政治认同为研究对象，以社会转型、经济全球化及社会信息化为外生变量，通过理论研究和实证研究相结合的方法，就当代中国公民政治认同的结构要素、生成机制、历史演进、现实生态、影响因素以及建构策略等理论与现实问题进行系统研究，力图建构一个具有中国特色的政治认同问题分析和思考框架。
