This book mainly explains the basic development of environmental law in China since 2000. The book is divided into three parts, the first part is a general introduction, which provides a general discussion on the development of environmental law in China since this century, including the overall situation of various research fields and outstanding theoretical achievements. The chapters of the second part examine and discuss in detail the research situation of each major field or important theory of environmental law, including the source and evolution of theory, theoretical controversies in the process of institutional change, the main academic views in various research fields, the development of comparative theory, etc., and at the same time carry out detailed evaluation and extended discussion in combination with relevant foreign theories, including the gains and losses of various academic views, the position and views of the author, the possibilities and suggestions of theoretical application.
