二〇一四年十月，党的十八届四中全会作出了《中共中央关于全面推进依法治国若干重大问题的决定》，提出了建设中国特色社会主义法治体系和建设社会主义法治国家的总目标，这无疑具有重大的历史意义。笔者认为，全面推进依法治国，必须坚持毛泽东思想，这也包括其中的毛泽东的法律思想，毛泽东法律思想是中国特色社会主义法治思想的理论渊源之一，毛泽东对中国法治建设所作的贡献，理应并且能够对今天全面推进依法治国提供重要的理论营养和实践参照。脱离了毛泽东的法律思想，全面推进依法治国不仅有陷入历史虚无主义泥潭的可能，更可能难以确保中国法治建设的社会主义方向。

In October 2014, the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made the Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Several Major Issues Concerning Comprehensively Promoting the Rule of Law in the Country, which put forward the overall goal of building a socialist rule of law system with Chinese characteristics and building a socialist country under the rule of law, which is undoubtedly of great historical significance. The author believes that to comprehensively promote the rule of law, we must adhere to Mao Zedong Thought, which also includes Mao Zedong's legal thought, Mao Zedong legal thought is one of the theoretical sources of socialist rule of law thought with Chinese characteristics, and Mao Zedong's contribution to the construction of China's rule of law should and can provide important theoretical nutrition and practical reference for today's comprehensive promotion of the rule of law. Departing from Mao Zedong's legal thought, comprehensively promoting the rule of law may not only fall into the quagmire of historical nihilism, but also may be difficult to ensure the socialist direction of China's rule of law construction.（AI翻译）
