This book is a reference book in the field of world religions research, including the content summary of more than 2,500 Chinese religious books published in mainland China from 1949 to 2016. These works belong to representative works of different historical periods, different religious types, different thinking directions and different research approaches, which basically reflect the development trend, academic standards and discipline construction of the academic field of religion since 1949, and can also peek into the overall situation of the field of international religious studies. The book mainly revolves around two horizontal and vertical threads: horizontal clues include Marxist religious views, religious studies, atheism and religious policies, primitive religions and mythology, Chinese religions, ethnic religions, folk religions, Taoism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, and other religions, a total of ten categories; The longitudinal clues include three parts: Eastern and Western religious classics in the Middle Ages, modern Eastern and Western religious classics, and contemporary Eastern and Western religious academic works, focusing on the progress of religious research in China since the reform and opening up.
