2019年9月7日，在北京召开了由中国社会科学院社会政法学部主办、社会学研究所承办的“学科自信：走进世界的中国社会学”讨论会。这是国内学界第一次以专题讨论的形式探讨社会学学科自信问题，吹响了增强中国社会学学科自信的号角,是研究阐释习近平总书记在哲学社会科学工作座谈会上的讲话精神的一次深入扎实的讨论，会议形成的讨论成果对社会学未来一段时间的发展具有相当重要的意义。会议发言稿和论文，致力于构建中华民族历史文化中独特的社会学学科体系、学术体系、话语体系，立足中国社会发展的历史与现实，推进与国际社会学界对话沟通，增强中国社会学学科自信。

On September 7, 2019, a symposium on "Discipline Confidence: Chinese Sociology Entering the World" was held in Beijing, hosted by the Department of Social Science and Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and undertaken by the Institute of Sociology. This is the first time in the domestic academic circles to discuss the issue of self-confidence in sociology discipline in the form of a thematic discussion, sounding the clarion call to enhance the self-confidence of China's sociology discipline, and is an in-depth and solid discussion to study and explain the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the Philosophy and Social Sciences Work Forum, and the discussion results formed at the meeting are of considerable significance to the development of sociology in the future period.
