唐代玄奘先后译讲自天竺带回的《因明入正理论》和《因明正理门论》，其弟子为此二论注疏解说，形成唐代因明注疏体系，即因明唐疏，这是汉传因明研究第一个理论成果的高峰。本书在原典的基础上，从广义的论证视角，系统分析因明唐疏的论证机制、论式和论证规则，并力图应用因明唐疏论证理论分析现代辩经实践，使属于“冷门绝学”范畴的古典逻辑理论“因明”，能以较为系统的形态呈现。本书有助于促进理性对话、消除意见分歧，同时还能展现中华优秀传统文化的顽强生命力。
