本书对世界文化遗产丽江古城的数字记忆构建进行研究与论述。通过选取丽江古城范围内的大研古镇、白沙古镇、束河古镇作为重点研究场域，以古城数字记忆作为研究对象，研究数字记忆的内容与范围、构建理论与方法和可视化数据库设计三方面的问题。本书从理论层面，研究丽江古城数字记忆的内涵外延、分类构成及其内容与价值。从实践调查层面，以大研、白沙、束河等代表性地区为重点，调查分析古城的保护现状、数字记忆构建的开展等情况。对现有可供借鉴的国内外城市数字记忆构建案例进行系统分析与对比，得出调研结论。
