This report constructs the Latin American Business Environment Index and the China-Latin America Bilateral Cooperation Index, trying to scientifically quantify the business environment and the progress of bilateral cooperation between Latin American countries and China. In terms of Latin American Business Environment Index, data from eight aspects: political environment, macroeconomic environment, social environment, trade environment, investment and financing environment, infrastructure environment, innovation ability and resource endowment are selected, and multiple indicators are compressed into eight main factors through factor analysis to measure the development of business environment in Latin American countries. In terms of the China-Latin America Bilateral Cooperation Index, index data in political cooperation, "Belt and Road" and bilateral cooperation, trade cooperation, financial cooperation, investment cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges were selected to quantify the cooperation between China and Latin American countries in each module.
