This book makes full use of the declassified archives "The Comintern, the United Communist Party (Cloth) and the Chinese Revolution Archive Series" to comprehensively examine the influence and role of the Communist International on the entire historical process of the formation and development of the revolutionary road with Chinese characteristics from the external environment of the Chinese revolution, that is, the international background. This book attempts to explore the deep-seated reasons for this duality policy of the Communist International, objectively shows the degree to which the revolutionary road with Chinese characteristics is influenced by the Communist International and the Communist Party in the process of formation and development, especially the dual role brought about by the Chinese Communists represented by Mao Zedong in exploring the practical process of encircling the cities in the countryside, and discusses the input-output relationship between the two.
