阿慧·丹托（Arthur Danto，1924-2013）是美国当代十分具有影响力的艺术哲学家。近年来，他的“艺术的终结”“艺术世界”“艺术的定义”等思想在国内引起了广泛的讨论。本书立足丹托的历史哲学思想，较为系统地梳理了他的艺术理论的发展轨迹，一方面从艺术世界、艺术的终结、意义美学等方面揭示丹托艺术理论的建构策略，另一方面描绘丹托艺术哲学与艺术实践的张力关系，以期为中国当代艺术理论和艺术实践提供新的视角。
