本书系统梳理甲骨文、殷金文中与地理环境相系的文字及辞例，探究殷人视野中的地理空间与地理景观，考察甲骨文地名的自然与人文属性。借助环境考古及科技考古，对商代自然地理环境包括地貌、气候、水文、动植物变迁等进行多学科交叉研究。从人地关系的视角对商代居址择建进行解读，探讨商代聚落选址的地理表征以及聚落规划与建筑的环境适应。
This book systematically sorts out the words and dictionaries related to the geographical environment in the oracle bone script and Yin Jinwen, explores the geographical space and geographical landscape in the perspective of the Yin people, and examines the natural and human attributes of oracle bone place names. With the help of environmental archaeology and scientific and technological archaeology, the natural geographical environment of the Shang Dynasty, including landform, climate, hydrology, animal and plant changes, etc., is carried out in multidisciplinary cross-research.
