休闲是人类存在的理想状态，也是当今社会人们的基本生活诉求。本书以中国古代文化为背景，通过对以儒家和道家为主的休闲观念的梳理，探索中国休闲文化的思想根源及其基本特质。与一般对休闲的纯理论论证或社会现象描述不同，本书力图将休闲与文学联系在一起加以探讨，特别是借助对散文文本的分析，发掘散文中的休闲文化意蕴，探寻休闲文化对散文，尤其是对闲适散文的影响。由于篇幅的限制，本书对中国休闲文化与闲适散文的论述限于唐代以前，实际上闲适散文的大量出现是在唐代以后，特别是明清时期。但中国古代的休闲观念在前唐已基本形成，所以我们将其视为中国休闲文化的基础部分。
Leisure is the ideal state of human existence, and it is also the basic life demand of people in today's society. Set against the background of ancient Chinese culture, this book explores the ideological roots and basic characteristics of Chinese leisure culture through the combing of leisure concepts dominated by Confucianism and Taoism. Unlike the purely theoretical arguments or descriptions of social phenomena in general, this book attempts to link leisure and literature to explore, especially through the analysis of prose texts, to explore the meaning of leisure culture in prose, and to explore the influence of leisure culture on prose, especially leisure prose. Due to space limitations, this book's discussion of Chinese leisure culture and leisure prose is limited to before the Tang Dynasty, and in fact a large number of leisure prose appeared after the Tang Dynasty, especially the Ming and Qing dynasties.
