房宁，政治学者，中国社会科学院政治学研究所原所长，研究员。四川大学讲席教授，国家“万人计划”哲学社会科学领军人才。

长期从事政治理论与实践研究工作。曾两次为中共中央政治局集体学习讲解。倡导“向实求学”，用脚底板做学问。2017年曾徒步全程考察京杭大运河，2021年开始实地考察“瑷珲腾冲线”。

The author is a political scholar, former director of and researcher at the Institute of Political Science, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has long been engaged in the study of political theory and practice. He has twice lectured for the collective study of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. He advocates "learning from the real world" and learning from trekking experiences. In 2017, he trekked the entire Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and in 2021, he began to visit the "Aihui Tengchong Line".
