景天魁，中国社会科学院学部委员、社会政法学部副主任，中国社会学会顾问，中国社会科学院社会学研究所研究员，博士生导师。1943年生于山东蓬莱，1967年毕业于北京大学哲学系，1981年和1987年先后在中国社会科学院研究生院获得硕士、博士学位。1981-1995年，在中国社会科学院哲学所从事研究工作，1992年评为研究员，1993年任中国社会科学院社会发展研究中心主任，1995-2006年先后担任社会学所副所长、党委书记、所长，1996年评为国家级有突出贡献中青年专家。1998-2005年任中国社会学会副会长，2001-2005年任国际社会学会（IIS）副会长。为第十、十一届全国政协委员，国家规划专家委员会委员，中央马克思主义理论研究和建设工程首席科学家。

先后从事社会认识论、社会科学方法论和发展社会学以及社会政策研究。主要学术专长：社会哲学和发展社会学。
