张华夏，1932年生于广东省广州市。中山大学哲学系教授，国内著名科学哲学家，主要研究科学哲学、复杂系统哲学和道德哲学。早年先后就读于中山大学经济学系和复旦大学哲学系。1955—1975年在华中工学院（现华中科技大学）哲学系任教，1977—1996年在中山大学哲学系任教，1996年退休后任华南师范大学和山西大学客座教授。出版《物质系统论》《实在与过程》《技术解释研究》《现代科学与伦理世界》《科学的结构》等专著十六部；《自然科学的哲学》等译著三部，发表论文约一百五十余篇。

Zhang Huaxia, professor at the Philosophy Department of Sun Yat-sen University, the famous scientific philosopher in China. Zhang mainly studies philosophy of science, complex system philosophy and moral philosophy. Published 16 monographs such as the Theory of Material System and Reality and Process, and translated three books such as the Philosophy of Natural Science, and published more than 150 papers.
