The book is divided into two parts and twenty chapters. The first part of the six chapters deals with the expansion of the field of modern and contemporary Chinese poetics, the construction of the discourse system, the display and discussion of the development and evolution of ancient and modern poetry, and the discussion of laws. The eight chapters of the second part adopt the perspective of comparing ancient and modern, and study the selection of themes and form construction of modern and contemporary new poetry, as well as the creative cases of several famous new poets.
