Yuan Peng is a Researcher at the Rural Development Institute, CASS, a Doctoral Supervisor, an Expert on special allowances from the State Council, and an Expert Supervisor of the Sixth Supervisory Committee of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. He has long been engaged in research on rural cooperative economic organizations. He used to serve as an expert member of the drafting and revision team of the Farmers' Professional Cooperatives Law of the National People's Congress Agricultural Committee, and a consultant expert for international institutions such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and the International Agricultural Development Fund. He has presided over more than 20 projects of the National Social Science Fund of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, major projects of CASS, and related ministries and international cooperation projects. His outstanding scientific research achievements of independent and cooperative research have won more than ten provincial and ministerial level awards.
