Liu Danqing, PhD at the City University of Hong Kong, director of the Institute of Language of CASS, editor in chief of Chinese Language, and one of the first distinguished professors at the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He mainly studies language typology, Chinese grammar, dialectology, theoretical linguistics and applied linguistics. He once won the first prize of the young linguist award of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and twice won the second prize of the monograph award of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
