Based on the cross-cultural perspective and the context of thematic history, this book investigates the life consciousness and cultural connotation of life beyond the theme in Western literature, sorts out the different forms and basic frameworks of the transcendental theme of Western literary life, and constructs a research system of life beyond the theme. Through the epigenetic interpretation of the transcendent theme of life in Western literature, the conscious causes and materialized forms of the formation of the transcendent theme of life are traced. Through its archetypal interpretation, discover the archetypal meaning of life beyond the theme; Through the metaphysical demands it reflects, it explores the symbolic genealogy and value orientation of Western literary life beyond themes. The idea that the transcendence of the subject of life is the profound theme and the highest state of literary expression because of its metaphysical nature.
