本书是第一部以中国古代文言小说的诗化特征史作为研究对象的专著。中国古代小说最突出的民族特色就是它的诗化特征，这一特征在文言小说中有着充分表现。本书从唐前、唐代、宋元、明清四个阶段，叙述并评价了文言小说诗化特征在不同阶段的不同面貌。对于《世说新语》《游仙窟》《玉梨魂》等文言小说作品，本书也从诗化特征的角度对其艺术特征进行了全新的叙述。

This book is the first monograph to focus on the history of the poetic characteristics of ancient Chinese literary novels. The most prominent national characteristic of ancient Chinese novels is its poetic characteristic, which is fully expressed in literary novels. From the four stages of the pre-Tang dynasty, the Tang dynasty, the Song and Yuan dynasties, and the Ming and Qing dynasties, this book describes and evaluates the different aspects of the poetic characteristics of literary novels at different stages.
