This book is the final result of the National Social Science Foundation project "A Comparative Study of Chinese and Western Marxist Literary and Art Theoretical Concepts". The main purpose of this research is to systematically and comparatively analyze and discuss the theoretical concepts of Chinese and Western Marxist literature and art, and then reveal the main characteristics and essence of Chinese and Western Marxist concepts of literature and art, find out the deficiencies and fallacies in the process of inheriting and developing the theoretical concepts of Marxist classic literature and art, and draw due experience and lessons from them. In addition, the main theoretical value of this research lies in the analysis of the comparative influence of Chinese and Western Marxist literary and artistic theoretical concepts, which helps us to comprehensively and accurately grasp the basic spirit of Marxist literary and artistic theoretical concepts in the exchange and collision with various contemporary literary and artistic trends, break the dogmatic understanding of Marxist literary theory, and eliminate various erroneous views attached to Marxism, and combine with the reality of the development of contemporary socialist literature and art in China, in the spirit of comparison, transcendence and innovation.
