本书以现代“乡愁小说”置换传统“乡土小说”的提法，将情感、形式与现代性放在一个逻辑层面予以考察，通过辨析作家“乡愁”的书写方式与文学形式的关系阐发文学的现代意涵。以“乡愁”的时空、怀旧的特质管窥中国现代“乡愁小说”的审美特质，进而审视人的情感与历史、政治的互动及其对现代冲击的回应方式。中国现代“乡愁小说”遵循的“差异”叙述方式更包蕴着对生命本身的尊重、自我主体意识的觉醒、启蒙救亡意识的吁求以及民族国家想象的认同。它以其独特的现代审美形式折射了传统乡土中国语境中人的现代意识的生成过程，为中国文学的现代转型提供了生动、可贵的情感写真。

This book replaces the traditional "local novel" with modern "nostalgia novel", examines emotion, form and modernity at a logical level, and explains the modern meaning of literature by distinguishing the relationship between the writer's "nostalgia" writing method and literary form. With the time and space of "nostalgia" and the characteristics of nostalgia, this paper explores the aesthetic characteristics of modern Chinese "nostalgia novels", and then examines the interaction between human emotions, history, politics and its response to modern shocks. The "difference" narrative method followed by modern Chinese "nostalgic novels" contains respect for life itself, the awakening of self-subjectivity, the call for enlightenment and salvation, and the identification of the nation-state imagination. With its unique modern aesthetic form, it reflects the generation process of modern consciousness of people in the traditional rural Chinese environment, and provides a vivid and valuable emotional portrait for the modern transformation of Chinese literature.（AI翻译）
