本书以部分具有音乐性的中国现代小说为考察对象，从隐性音乐性与显性音乐性层面，试图以跨艺术的视点来敞开小说与音乐之间的微妙关系，理解这两种艺术互为创造和批评的参照时彼此之间的重叠与落差，从而在这些重叠与落差的缝隙背后，介入人性、文化与艺术的深层解读。书中小说的音乐性既是手段，也是目的，是一种把握和理解作品、乃至世界的方式，甚至可以说是一种任何有机生命形式的内在深层结构。

This book takes some musical modern Chinese novels as the object of investigation, and attempts to open up the subtle relationship between novel and music from the perspective of implicit musicality and explicit musicality, and understand the overlap and gap between these two arts when they are references for each other's creation and criticism, so as to intervene in the deep interpretation of human nature, culture and art behind these overlaps and gaps.
