本书以马克思主义文艺理论为指导，以中国主题性绘画的思想政治教育育人功能为研究核心，围绕学理性分析、结构性分析、历时性分析、共时性分析、策略性分析五个部分，通过层层深入、步步推进的逻辑思路展开论证。一方面，分析在革命、建设和改革的历史时期，中国主题性绘画发挥思想政治教育育人功能的成功经验；另一方面，针对当前现实困境与时代挑战，提出可行性路径，促进新时代中国主题性绘画思想政治教育育人功能的高效发挥。
Guided by Marxist literary and art theory, this book takes the ideological and political education and educational function of Chinese thematic painting as the core of research, and focuses on five parts: rational analysis, structural analysis, diachronic analysis, synchronic analysis, and strategic analysis. On the one hand, it analyzes the successful experience of Chinese thematic painting in playing the function of ideological and political education and educating people in the historical period of revolution, construction and reform.
