This book is the author's ten years of deep cultivation in the field and long-term thinking, and deeply discusses the history and reality, structure and process of community governance in China. New ideas come out of the book: First, learn from the past, trace the historical genes of community governance, break the argument that "imperial power does not fall to the county", and realize the historical connection of ancient and modern community governance. The second is to break the Tennis-style community myth, analyze the conceptual differences between Chinese and Western communities over the past hundred years, and show the practical differences between "centralized governance" and "network governance" between Chinese and Western communities. The third is to trace the roots, focus on the economic structure foundation of community governance for the first time, and precipitate the "tertiary production and distribution relationship" that affects community governance. The fourth is to refine the form of China's "community complex" and explore the relationship between "state, society and family".
